Building a digital presence for a premium, founder-led fashion label

Brand Introduction

When we started working with this premium fashion label in September, 2025 it already had a physical store, an existing customer base and a strong product proposition built around customisation and personalised experiences.

What it lacked was a digital presence that reflected the quality of the brand and consistently brought the right audience into the conversation. With products priced around Rs 15,000–Rs 20,000, reaching potential customers purely through Instagram presented a challenge. The audience needed to be more carefully identified and nurtured before they could be converted into enquiries. With around 1,200 followers at the start, we saw an opportunity to build more than just a social media page. We wanted to create a marketing ecosystem that could support awareness, qualified enquiries and offline growth.

Brand Belief and Vision

The brand brings a contemporary take to Western wear, with a focus on modern, chic silhouettes designed for parties, gatherings and special occasions. From statement dresses to well-crafted pants and shirts, the collection is designed for customers who want to dress up while still feeling trendy and effortless.

What makes the brand distinctive is the balance between its ready-to-wear collection and customisation, giving customers the option to personalise pieces according to their preferences.

Challenges

We identified three key challenges:

  • The brand needed a stronger and more consistent digital identity.

  • With products in the Rs 15,000– Rs 20,000 price range, reaching and converting the right audience through Instagram alone was difficult.

  • The business was founder-led, but the founder couldn't always be available for content creation while managing the store and customers.

Our Strategy

We focused on building a visual identity that reflected the brand's contemporary positioning. The Instagram feed centred around photoshoot imagery and customer stories, with real customer pictures helping create social proof and making the price point feel more tangible.

Since the brand operates in a higher price bracket, Instagram posting alone wasn't enough. We identified relevant influencers from Kolkata(the city the brand is based in)  to reach a more targeted audience and create interest that could translate into in-person shopping, which helped convince the shoppers more.

We also tested paid advertising with an average spend of  Rs 1,000 per campaign over 4–5 days to understand audience response and identify high-intent prospects. Each campaign generated approximately 35 - 40 highly relevant and genuine enquiries, with around 40% converting into customers.

The results were particularly strong from an ROI perspective, an average spend of Rs 1,000 generated nearly Rs 40,000 in revenue, making the ad spend-to-return ratio highly effective. With 4-5 such campaigns run each month, paid advertising became a consistent and valuable customer acquisition channel for the brand.

Our approach extended beyond social media. During festive seasons, we identified premium exhibitions and third-party opportunities for premium exhibitors who were targeting festive sales in cities such as Ahmedabad, Raipur and Kolkata, and initiated conversations to help the brand showcase its collection in person and book a stall at all such fashion exhibitions.

We also created lookbooks and magazine-style assets to strengthen the brand's presentation across these opportunities.

Result

The brand evolved from an early-stage social presence into a more structured marketing ecosystem.

  • Organic follower growth from 1,200+ to 5,000+ in one year

  • 30–35 genuine enquiries per ad campaign, with a 30–40% conversion rate.

  • Organic follower growth and queries through relevant niche influencer collaborations

  • New lookbooks and magazine-style brand assets for display

  • Exploration of relevant cities for exhibition opportunities

  • A content system that didn't depend entirely on the founder

Lesson Learned

This project reinforced that for a premium fashion brand, how the collection is presented can be just as important as how it is promoted. We focused on making Instagram feel like a curated digital catalogue, where someone landing on the page could immediately see the variety of styles, outfits and options available rather than seeing repetitive product posts.

The project also showed us that reaching a customer requires more than simply increasing Instagram reach. Relevant influencers, targeted advertising and offline opportunities such as premium exhibitions all played a role in reaching potential customers.

Most importantly, the strategy was about creating multiple paths to discovery, whether someone found the brand through Instagram, a customer story, an influencer or an exhibition.
